Your annual utility bill is included on the tax notice and is due on July 4, 2017. For a complete breakdown of your utility bill, please login to MY VOP ACCOUNTS or contact the Village Office.

To avoid penalties, payment must be received at the Village of Pemberton by the due date of July 4, 2017. Payment can be made by mail, in person at the Village office, or online through your Financial Institution. Methods of payment include cash, cheque, money order, Interac, post-dated cheques, online (EFT) and telebanking.

CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO MAKE PAYMENT AT YOUR BANK.

Payment by cheque: Make cheque payable to the Village of Pemberton. Returned cheques constitute non-payment of taxes and will be subject to applicable penalties and/or interest and a $25.00 service charge.

Payment by mail: Send payment (payable to the Village of Pemberton) and Home Owner Grant application (if eligible) to:

Please allow sufficient time for delivery by mail as your payment must be received by the Village by July 4, 2017. Postmarks are not considered as date of payment. 

Online payments: Property taxes and utilities can be paid online through most financial institutions – check with your bank for details.

Add Pemberton, Village of > Taxes as a Payee on your online bank account. Your account number is your roll number. If you bank with a credit union, you may need to contact your branch for special instructions.

PENALTIES:

Unpaid 2017 taxes and utilities (including unclaimed Home Owner Grants) are subject to a penalty of 10% effective July 4, 2017 at midnight.

 

PAYMENT BY MORTGAGE COMPANY:

It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that the taxes are paid by the mortgage company. To avoid penalty, it is also the owner’s responsibility to ensure that the Home Owner Grant is completed and submitted to the Village office by July 4, 2017. YOUR BANK CANNOT SUBMIT YOUR HOMEOWNER GRANT FOR YOU.

TAXES IN ARREARS AND DELIQUENT TAXES:

Are subject to interest in accordance with Section 245 and 246 of the Community Charter. Properties with delinquent taxes will be sold on the last Monday of September in this year, unless the delinquent taxes with interest are paid prior to the sale.

PROVINCIAL TAX DEFERMENT PROGRAM:

You may qualify if you are 55 years of age or older, a surviving spouse or a disabled person as defined by regulation, or, financially supporting a dependent child under the age of 18. HOME OWNER GRANTS:

Applications must be received by the Village of Pemberton by July 4, 2017 to avoid any penalties. If you are a recent purchaser of this property and your name does not appear on the tax notice you may have to provide proof of ownership to claim a grant.

OWNERSHIP OR ADDRESS CHANGES:

If ownership has changed, please forward this notice to the new owner or return to the Village of Pemberton. If your mailing address has changed, please notify the Village office in writing by mail, fax at 604 894 6136 or by email to admin@pemberton.ca.

 


   

 

 

Claim Your Homeowners Grant

 

In order to Claim the 2016 Home Owners Grant you must now apply for a Retro-Active Grant through the Province. You can access an application form from us by emailing, admin@pemberton.ca
